These are produced out of digital recordings and not analog ones.

How do you come by this info??
The site ¨ about ¨ says other wise.

Analogy Records is the world’s first record label to produce contemporary artists at its recording studio, distributing ORIGINAL MASTER TAPES.

Instead of producing copies from any pre-existing master, for each order Analogy Records produces an original master directly from the multi-track recording system, thus removing an additional stage. No first generation copies but only original Master Tapes, in order to ensure the best listening experience ever.

Analogy Records produces artists from different musical genres, such as jazz, pop, classical, folk, world music, contemporary music and others, working in a world class recording studio (Zerodieci Studio) and exploiting my 40 years of experience as musician and 25 years of experience in the field of music production.

Interesting piece.
It would nt stop me from buying if it sounds good it sounds good.
I like movies ...all digital
The problem.i have with digital is , i cant hear the difference between a 500 euro player and a 40.000 euro player.
Tape reminds me of the old radio broadcast sound

Well, I would prefer to buy a DXD version at common HiRez DXD prices and record it in my Studer A80! ;)

That would be the Dutch solution(on the cheap).
From what i understand is is that he records digital then mixes analogue , when that is done its been put on tape.
So not exactly a digital recording thats been put on tape

Has anyone listened to the Pavarotti tape advertised on that website?
Can you post a link to the Pavarotti tape? I couldn't find it on the Analogy Records website.

Thanks, Larry

This weekend or in the coming weeks i ll make a ranking of the best recording quality per label ( to my ears ) incl the pavarotti / hemiolia .

It has been about a year and a half since I totaled up all of the available master tapes for sale, and since many of us are retired and at home, I took a few moments to do the update.

As of September 10 2020 there are now
673 reels of recorded master tapes for sale
That equates into 22,209 minutes. (Yes I have too much spare time on my hands)
That equates into 370 hours of listening
That equates into 15.4 days of listening. WOW
This averages out to about 5,225 songs.
This equals about 504 regular vinyl albums at 33 1/3.
That is a lot of listening, and for sure the market for tapes is growing.

Now that I have updated everyone, let me get back to watching the grass grow.

I admire your Telefunken, - is that your main machine? I have one, but it doesn't have the outer case.
I have also 2 studer B62 machines one with and without VU .
Tapehandling wise the telefunken is the winner it also beats a A80 RC Mk 2 which i had before

Lovely! It is interesting, what you are saying about tape handling, though... as I think the A80 is definitely gentler on tape. The M15A is more powerful, no questions about that... but it is also more brutal... at least mine is. I do love, however, its variable speed rewind - even though it is just a stepped system, not a truly variable one, like some other models have. Mine also has the German tape path... so I twist the tape. But it can take large reels - I have custom made platters that are almost 13" in diameter, so I can put over one hour worth of a 2 mil tape on it.

The Telefunken has gorgeous sound, though. One of the best, this side of separate head preamps.
