Zero Distortion: Tango Time

I think there is a piece of gum stuck to the microphone Tang is using to
make his recordings:rolleyes:

Well you won't do it. There is only one way for you to know is to rotate that board under amps, pre, and phono. On the floor, on the rack. I understand the back problem but if it cannot be done then we really don't have a conclusion, but at least play some records you posted just before adding it. You have now posted two new records.

I'm pretty confident Master Tang could find some strong person to do the lifting if he wanted to ;)

No we are pointing ten fingers at you. Just play records you played before

Friends. I am not a freakin fast food McDonald. I am a 5 star Michelin (Is there a 5 stars?) I tango at my tempo...hehe.

You actually slow waltz Tango;)

With these last two records it has been the dance that starts at 30 seconds into the video. Tang thinks he is superman

Wow Ked now we get a glimpse into the music videos watched in your household. Bollywood is truly a magical placeo_O
I just don’t see Tango moving that fast. Ever;)

Tang needs all the CGI help he can get.
They made De Niro a young man in The Irishman.

I don't know Marc, Tang looks younger than both you and me in
his recent travel pictures.
He has a babyface !:)

Well, they arsed it up in The Irishman. De Niro looks "younger". But they forgot to CGI his body as well.

As a result, he looks like Tang, AND has Tang's bad back.

I think De Niro has aged prematurely, all that anger that his portrayal of Mueller came to nothing Lol.

Come on man. Don't you think I know that?
It’s not about a one to one comparison, the video is a reference point of how much of the music is missing even compared to a compressed YouTube video. Listen to the venue’s ambient in your post, Montmartre Cafe is your typical damp jazz club and not the glass shower cubicle your’s sounds like.

You can't compare your recording to a video. . . .

I don’t understand. I am the one who thinks and posts that videos are close to useless. I thought you like them.

Why do you now agree videos cannot be compared to recordings?

Tang

several weeks ago I suggested that the Daiza on top of the CMS rack is not a wise idea. Listen to what Ked told you and play the same record with and without the Daiza. I have no experience with Daiza but I do with CMS and believe the two together are counter productive

My video views have been discussed on the video thread you started. My understanding from recent conversations with various people who never tried to understand videos is they think that the people who do listen to them use them for judging in totality and there is a very black and white perception.

As far as why this recording should not be compared to a video, it is because this is a video of a recording and the other is a video of a live show. Would you compare a recording to a live show to draw a conclusion about a tweak?

Ps: you post videos are close to useless because you have never even tried to listen to them and relate

+1 Ron.

I had a bad feeling that this crazy idea would backfire. The only thing here that is relevant is what Tang feels about his sound. If he likes what he hears w the Daizas, he should keep them. If he doesn't, he shouldn't. As it ever was re choices in hifi.

Now if Tang claims he likes what he hears, but he soon ditches his Daizas, that will be v interesting.

I mean, the Troy is gone since Dave visited, and I don't ever recall Tang saying previously he didn't like having Troy in his system.

You guys are really predictable. Keep going Marc I am enjoying reading. Me and Ked were thinking wbf was getting boring.

If you know what to listen for some videos are excellent reference points as is the case here. Given the quality of Tang’s system A recording from it should have enough resolution to at least comparable to a digitized compressed archival you tube video. In this case it’s blatantly obvious how much information has gone missing even through your phone’s speakers.

If Tang's video does not sound as good as the live recording we can't make out what is causing it. Only way is with and without the daiza. If he doesn't want to lift he should play some of the great natural recordings he played before

Have Marc send you some of his magic mushroom powercords for your turntable motors and all will be right :)!
