New Album & The Beginning of Basketball Season

It has been a tough few years for Laker fans. Most have held firm with their team.

But going to the Celtics from the Lakers? That may be a bridge too far!! :)

I know, it's actually funny. He knows all the duels Magic had with Bird, the McHale clothesline, etc. But he's following and praising the Celtics today. I didn't feed him anything. :D

That makes two of us even if I bailed on the Lakers in the 90s.

And a most amazing line from him, a hint that he may have tilted to the green side : "I prefer them in their old green and white uniforms." :D

Honestly, I do too, specially the tight shirts and the shorter shorts. And the tight short sleeved warm up jacket, in which Larry Bird would don while warming up shooting the 3s. I thought they were too tight for the arms to shoot, but maybe there were flexible rayon or polyester material. :) Nostalgia.

This is a bit embarrassing, but I rooted wholeheartedly for the Lakers in the 1982 Finals against the Sixers. The Sixers beat us C's in Game 7 of the EC after the C's came back from 1-3, so the agony of that defeat was so great I had to side with the Lakers to 'destroy' them Sixers. When the job was finished, I quickly ordered a Lakers championship T-shirt which I wore in Beijing. Old film quality, there is a big number 1 sign in the middle, with the Lakers name in the middle (blurred out) and below it said World Champions.

I don't see that happening again. :D

FWIW I thought the Warriors-Rockets game was filled with lots of non calls and missed calls

Klay should have had 3 more fouls for encroaching on the shooting space of Harden

CP3 was fouled with 4.4 seconds left. The on call lead to him being tossed from the game

There is also little doubt that they miss Cousins

Guarding Harden's 3-point attempts series-defining challenge
Rockets star felt there were no-calls, but Warriors were also aggrieved

What do you think Stevie? Unfair or do you think the refs are now simply onto the Beard's contact antics? Opposing fans have been bemoaning the alleged ineptitude of the refs to spot Harden's travelling onn the step back and his arm hooking in addition to his twist on the Reggie Miller rule.

Hard to say as looking at the 3 replays on Klay they looked like fouls but as you say perhaps the refs are onto him

As for CP3 I like the guy but he has had some quirky past misdoings. He's a great player but TBH IMO other than an occasional short jump shot I feel he has peaked and slightly past his best days

Nuggs are an exciting, very fast and skilled young team. They easily beat the Blazers tonight

113-121

The process won on the road. Good defensive effort to stop Toronto. Good series.

I hope the refs keep not calling as the Beard very obviously always aims for that call

And that whiny plea to the refs in that video is just enormously embarrassing.
"Please don't let them hurt me", when in every action, HE is the one to desperately search for contact to provoke a foul call
There really ARE players that don't fall to the ground after EVERY attempt. The rule bending Beard is NOT one of those ;)

And did you also see in the replays that the Beard when going forward right before he pulls back for the jumper, he pushes away the defender with one arm.
In my understanding, this should be a foul as well

That Jokic is a fast, nimble, fancy dribbling giant. Amazing big.

CP3 got off pretty easy on that one. Should have been suspended.

The Rockets are whining so much about the officiating that it will very possibly hurt more than help.

I remember when CP3 and Blake Griffin were on the Clippers they complained so frequently it seemed the refs got sick of it and it worked against the Clippers.

when the real Milwaukee Bucks show up they look formidable and indeed they did tonight as they didn't wake up until late 2nd period and then a magnificent 3rd period

105-79 Bucks with 7:50 left in the game

The Celtics played terrific but the Bucks just played better Dee
