Happy 40th Birthday to the compact disc

As long as the Japanese market continues its interest in this media, CD's will be alive and well for a very long time.

And yes, I am a spinner vs a streamer.

At the outset, it was Herbert von Karajan who convinced Philips to invest 100 million marks in a CD pressing plant in Hanover Germany. Of the CD vonK remarked "all else is gaslighting".

The CD (Compact Disc) is still relatively just a baby. Give it another 40 years and it should start to spread its wings. :)
