Max overall speed fluctuation is within 0.005rpm, with supplied belt needle in the groove doesn't affect speed.

Centrifugal force is a fictitious force related to a constant spinning frame of reference it has nothing to do with balance ?

Euler's force also fictitious can be created by alterations in speed [ie accerelation] of a spinning system, thus a fluctuating speed could create this effect, but its not a real force, but a symptom of the inertia of the object spinning....if your referring to sprung platforms is this what your referring to? the upset of the platform as the platter accelerates and deaccelerates?

If the platter is perfectly balanced the center of mass is at the center of the movement and there is no net centrifugal force applied to the system. Or saying if differently, for every point creating a centrifugal force there is an opposite creating one force that cancels it.

Just addressing this point, nothing else.

No speed slow down when you lower the needle ? That is VERY impressive !
I use the same speed reader on my 180 lb air-bearing TT , idling is +/- 0,001 without servo, but speed drops 0,006 when needle is lowered. As I like eating every day, a AS2000 is not in my foreseeable future. I will have to try a better belt or more powerful motor. That is the most elegant and imposing TT on the market Tang. Congratulations! I’m looking forward to your evaluation of the 3012r arm in comparison to the SAT, keep up your great feedback!

3012R with GFS is on now. Can’t use the SME headshell because the flower body of GFS is too big. So Arche headshell is used instead.

How how much does that headshell weigh, it looks heavy? Usually SME works best with a minimalist headshell similar to their own.

I haven’t measured the weight. But it sure is heavier than the SME David. The GFS is pretty heavy too. Everything is new, the cable, the GFS. So I can’t say much about the sound yet.

It weighs a ton (Arche'). When I used it with a Lyra on the SME, the counterweight to get arm dynamically balanced almost maxed out at heaviest counterweight setting.

It weighs a ton (Arche'). When I used it with a Lyra on the SME, the counterweight to get arm dynamically balanced almost maxed out at heaviest counterweight setting.

It's having that much weight, inertia at the end of a tonearm is counterintuitive to me specially with the 3012-R's relatively light tube and knife edge bearing.
