With all due respect, are you implying that no one on the right is trying to devide the nation? It’s all the fault of the left?

Pretty much and has been that way for quite some time.

Laughable and bogus claim.

Give me the liberal cut and paste justification taking the bogus internet report and then pasting it as though fact.

Is the Wall Street Journal "fake news" now? Is anything sacred?

This kind of thinking would explain Paul's very puzzling reaction to my posts.

Trump on Charlottesville: "You also had some very fine people on both sides". Nuff said. This was one of the -- far too -- few times some Republicans in congress actually stood up to Trump and called him out on his overt racism.

Paul Ryan on Facebook:

"We all need to make clear there is no moral relativism when it comes to neo-Nazis. We cannot allow the slightest ambiguity on such a fundamental question," Ryan wrote on Facebook.
"The immediate condemnations from left, right and center affirmed that there is no confusion about right and wrong here. There are no sides. There is no other argument. We will not tolerate this hateful ideology in our society."

Seriously?

You really posted this?
Both parties have real issues for any well thinking individual.

What I cannot fathom here is why you would ever rise to the defence of a low life comment that the "foot in mouth" Roseanne made. In NO reality does this have any place among decent people. It is simply abominable! To even think such a thing shows mental derangement and spiritual degeneracy.

There have been 5 guilty pleas and 17 indictments since the investigation began. Seems pretty worthwhile to me. I would think all Americans would be happy about that, regardless of political affiliation.

Please don’t make me laugh. The “guilty pleas” have been mainly “lying” of course which Hillary and her host of 17 acolytes and lawyers were never charged with because of the unethical manner in which she was “interrogated” by the FBI in a supposed investigation. Flynn was nothing more than a hit job. Judge Ellis put it into perspective.

Of course the real lying is now coming out with McCabe and the rest and after the IG report the proverbial **** will be hitting the fan.

As to the 17 indictments again for money laundering over 10 years ago and nothing to do with Trump or collusion and 13 against Russian nationals which have turned out to be bogus as one of those “indicted” called Mueller out who in court he claimed he wasn’t ready to prosecute. The judge reamed him a new one for indicting and not being ready. He wasn’t ready because it was a bluff and there was nothing and it was show and never expecting any of the Russians to come to America and call him out. Too bad for you guys this house of cards is now backfiring.

Am I defending her? Every one of my posts has said she made a racist comment and deserved to be fired if deemed appropriate by her employer. I have no issue with what ABC did.

Maybe ESPN (another Disney subsidiary) should invoke their anti-Racist policies equally with Jamele Hill as they did with Curt Schilling the latter making much less offensive comments than Hill.

Your propagandist comments are typical Progressive manipulation of what me, a Conservative stated, which was anything but what you claim which is how you guys work.

The point I make is the lefts “selective morality” as you vision of the anointed choose what is or is not racist, misogynistic, biased, Islamophobic, anti-Semitic, homophobic and whatever else you want to throw in there.

What will be interesting to me is if the Deplorables accept the results when/if collusion is proved. With a constant stream of lies and misdirection coming from the president's twitter account, will they believe anything? Most still believe that Hillary ran a pedophile ring out of a pizza joint.

Let's just be clear. You support a person who lies on a daily basis. He lies about stupid stuff (most attended inauguration) and he lies about important stuff. Every day. Every single time he speaks he lies. He is also the person who claimed in Charlottesville that "there were good people on both sides" which included people shouting "Jews will not replace us" and others carrying KKK-like torches. His own party called him out on it.

He is also the person who mocked a disabled reporter. He is also the person who made comments about Megyn Kelly's period.

You and I have different values.

If you don't think he tries to divide people on a daily basis you either aren't paying attention or you are choosing to ignore it. But he does, which debunks your comment that only liberals do this.

Midwest fly over state..
When I read stuff like this, it doesn't make me sympathetic toward anyone. The way it reads to me is, "someone says something that really isn't important, and the general social-populace is so pathetic, weak, utterly fragile and unfit to walk the planet earth, that they all band together to try and prevent further unimportant utterings as to prevent further hive mind PTSD that crushes them under the weight of a single tweet."

We probably need some new kind of free speech protection for the internet & such. The simple answer to this whole thing isn't for ABC to do that, it's to stop watching the show if you're that upset (and I'm sure an awful lot of people would stop watching).

There is a very simple problem. Censorship does not lead to discourse.

..successful or not ABC was looking for a reason to cancel the show..voila

Regret the divisions on this otherwise great site.
After military/Army, I earned our living farming (50+ yrs) in the 'beautiful' and progressive California until regulations, laws and PC stuff became too much for us and we rented our land and moved to the 'ugly' central USA, OK, where I guess we are now deemed 'low-lifes' surrounded by like low-lifes, but are much more content and happy in this environment.
Never the less, here too exists musical events and my audio kit so what's to miss except a hope for a WBF that inhibits personal attacks against each other regarding non-audio preferences.
Just a new member so please accept my apologies before the flame salvo coming
Dave

The Midwest is a great place to live. I grew up 100 miles west of Chicago near farms. Love the land and the people. It was less divided there, as I remember.

Some have commented that Nixon might have been shielded from resignation over Watergate if in his time he had had Fox News. There may be some truth to it.

The division in our society today is tragic. Good, moral people on both sides being manipulated by non-truths concocted from bad context and flat out lies. IMO, possibly the worst example of this is the constant claims by the left that (often) conservatives are racists, a statement that is patently absurd on its face and evil of the highest proportion. It is an intentional strategic manipulation employed by the left to divide, seek capitulation, and achieve empowerment and the worst part of this shameful ploy, it has made make race relations much worse not better. More and more I see false claims of bigotry begetting real bigotry among otherwise good but week people in our society because they are fed up with constantly being falsely accused of this extreme form of evil. It is truly sad.

That said, what Rosanne did was shameful and deserves abject condemnation. ABC has every right to respond on moral, commercial or any other grounds they see fit.

However, returning back to my initial point, I find the post below some of the most offensive I have seen on this forum or maybe any of the forums I frequent. It is a classic case of the type of extremely harmful and inaccurate bias that is leading to the demise of our great society. I refuse to believe that most of those making such absurd comments about millions of fellow Americans are doing it out of ignorance but rather are knowing foot soldiers in what is essentially a civil war where non-truths and manipulation are the arsenal of choice. I fear bad things are on the horizon.

With all due respect, are you implying that no one on the right is trying to devide the nation? It’s all the fault of the left?

What is it about my first bold above you do not understand? How could you have possibly made your supposition even without that first bold. My comment addresses a societal problem and gives what IMO is possibly one of the worst examples. Maybe a better question might be what we do to stop this from happening rather than trying to cleanse such behavior by claiming the other-side does it too.

Yup. As I said, unfortunately today's conservatism often equals racism, rather than a plain ole fashioned economic stance. I'd have no problem with the latter.

..so if you’re a conservative you are a racist? Gee thanks..

That is an excellent question. I really hope someone comes up with an answer quickly because we have hit rock bottom. Everyone is now judged on being a liberal or being a conservative. No longer are people judged individually. It is really sad.

You have no idea what my political vies are and I am not a yank. I am however, not fooled by any of these politicians, as I am satisfied that they all have their agendas.

You are NOT a conservative from what I have seen you post here.

I am also now questioning your morality. There is no reason to even bring up anything else when we have a clear case of debasement of another HUMAN BEING by a warped low life like Roseanne. If some one called your buddy Trump something akin to some kind of Primate, would you regard that as appropriate? I would not!
