IT was a quite lovely tape. I did salvage about 10 minutes of a 33 minute one movement work. I've been handling pancakes for 30 years and this was the first one that got 'out of hand'....

It actually looks like you could re-spool it, but the wrinkles might be audible.

* But had some CDs eaten by some CD players though; had to retrieve them by opening the top cover.
...Very rare, happened only few times over a 29-year period.

That sucks...the savings of pancakes over metal reel w/ tape is just not worth it to me, especially the valuable music that is lost.

That looks like my main computer yesterday! Thankfully I had a working backup from right before my upgrades. Hope you haven't lost anything very valuable.
