Does anyone here know of a reliable source for NOS 211 tubes. I now have a Tron Telstar 211 amp. It was supplied with the GE 211(VT4-C) and I could not be happier. But one of these days I will need new tubes. Anyone familiar with the GE's compared to the RCA 211.

I have dealt with both Brent and Andy and their stuff has always been good. I just never inquired about 211's since I have only had the amp for a month.
I will shoot Jeffery Jackson an email on his sources.
Thanks for the link Miles. I didn't know KR made 211's. I may investigate them further, but for that price you are getting into RCA NOS, and I know those are a home run as far as reliable and good sounding.
I called Andy at Vintage Tube Services and he said he doesn't get into those tubes.
What I am looking for is perhaps a dealer who is under the radar who serves to a select few. The online guys command huge prices, I am not about to take a gamble on Ebay.
I've used Brendan Bievers at Tubeworld for various NOS tubes. Not cheap, but the tubes are as represented, and he will take them back for a refund if you are not satisfied. P- not sure where you are going to get a bargain on these unless you find somebody's stash from an old telecommunications repairman. And I agree, the idea of e-bay is a little scary, given not just counterfeiting, but condition of some vintage tubes. Good luck. Those babies ain't cheap, but what's expected life? (Cool tube, BTW and it's a great amp, as I think I mentioned to you). Does Graham have a source? He might be the first place to go, or Jeff at H-Water.
Kron has an even bigger tube for one of their amps, can't remember what it is, looks like the top two thirds of a baseball bat, in glass.
I could bug Graham or Jeff, but not yet. I know Jeff has some, and he said he could sell them to me, but he might change his mind so I won't ask.
I may be able to try some RCA's first to see if they a worth finding. A good friend has some in his Audio Note amps, he may bring them over the next time we get together for a listening session.
I know GE's are should be about $600, and RCA double that. If I could find a source to pay around $400 for GE's I would consider that a good deal. But that may be wishful thinking.
Graham from Tron estimates at least 10000 hours from a good NOS pair of 211's, so their life is long. Having owned his Tron Syren for seven years now and I still have the same 12AX7 Tele's I put in it when I got it. I know he is telling me the truth. His stuff is built to last and last without worry.
