Hi everyone,
I hope you're all doing well! I wanted to check in and provide an update. I had planned to go through all your comments over the weekend and respond, but unfortunately, I had to attend a family funeral, which threw off my schedule. Now that I’ve caught up, I’d like to address some of the questions that came up:
Just want to make sure that I confirm that there is no expected difference in lifespan between anodized and coated units. Both processes meet the highest quality standards, and both our anodizing and coating partners have confirmed that neither version is in any way inferior in terms of life expectancy.
On the pictures I sent last time, the server (with the most holes on top) is the anodised version and the I/O is our coated test.
That being said, I will be setting up a mailing list for everyone who has an Olympus in the queue. This will allow me to keep you updated with more detailed progress and expected batch timelines. It’ll also make the information more accessible to me and more tailored to you as customers waiting in the queue. You can expect the first email to go out on Monday with an update.
Thanks for your patience and understanding!
