Yes, big fan for a long time. I was contacted by a representative of Art Davies of WOW Productions (first sponsor of the UFC) about fighting in UFC #2. They're at #114 now. Yes, I'm old.

Our current training platform is similar to MMA fighting with guns and knives allowed. Unless there is sufficient interest, I won't go on about my #1 passion. See www.fightingconcepts.com for a bit more. PM if you'd like more info.

great stuff Lee

I am always (and have told you so many times) that I am fascinated by your expertise in developing RBFC and being a classical music lover to boot. It seems unnatural to me but not sure why.

Maybe the result of being hit in the head too many times....

I still like Hendrix, Miles, etc. but am fascinated by the complexity of classical music. People say "That band is tight" when referring to a four-or-five piece group. How about a composer who puts it together so that 100+ musicians make a tight ensemble?

As for MMA, Jackson's (which is one of the most successful UFC training camps) is here in Albuquerque. Several of their guys have come through our training group to mess around with how weapons change a fight compared to straight MMA. If you consider how a mugging goes down, I won't be able to simply pull out my gun and shoot the mugger. He's already in my face and certainly knows what it looks like when someone is pulling a gun. So, you need to learn how to get to defensive weapons when the pressure of a fight is already upon you. The bad guy will probably also have a weapon: As my good friend and ex-SEAL says it: "Nobody says gimme your wallet or I'll punch you in the face!"

See, you got me going there....

MotoGP!!!

Oh yeah!! I used to race professionally when I was much younger! Started off in 1/4 mile and 1/2 mile flat track and then when I was old enough, road racing!

too bad we lost moto gp coverage years ago, I followed religiously during Wayne's reign albeit I was a Honda hence Doohan fan.

I've got Seattle Mariners season tickets though I'm thinking of adding the 'ol bag on the head thing.:(

I am a little confused here. Mebbe it's the anejo I'm currently enjoying, but when I look at the poll results I see more votes than voters. Should the numbers be equal, i.e., 1 vote for each voter?

I'm guessing some guys voted but didn't post.

NBA - Longtime and lifelong Boston Celtic fan.
NFL - loved the 80s SF 49'ers
MLB - Red Sox (of course) :)

Football (soccer) is my first love. Born and raised in The Netherlands. Played semi-pro in Canada when the game was in its infancy there and no all-pro teams. Played until I was 35 and until someone took my knee out.

Hockey, and not because I live in Canada. My Dad was already a fan in the "old" country and he'd take me to watch games in outdoor rinks. He loved the sport.

Marginal fan of the other 3 "leagues", but Im a huge Summer and Winter Olympics fan. I also like F1 a lot.

Soccer, or, as it is called everywhere outside of the U.S., football. Coming from Glasgow, you either support Celtic (the good guys) or Rangers, and if you choose to wear the wrong colors in the wrong place, your life can be in danger. Sad, really.
