Good morning Tom. While you may not have received any direct infractions, you and others involved in some of the closed threads have been formally warned on many an occasion. One of the rules of the TOS is;

18. While we rule with a gentle hand in managing the forum, we reserve the right to terminate membership of anyone that we believe in our sole opinion to be disruptive to the well being of the community.

Steve has mentioned before and requested that threads and or topics not be cleverly re-worded and/or disguised into new thread titles. I have personally warned members about rehashing the same subject on different threads and the TOS also states not to state generalizations which create heated arguments. If you take a look at some of the closed threads that have been created, you will clearly see where the TOS has been danced upon and requests by the management team have have gone to the wayside, which unfortunately increases the number of train wrecks.

You are not to be accountable for how WBF members act within a thread. That is a duty and obligation of the management team here. You are accountable for the subject of a thread/post(s), generalizations and posting a thread that you know full well is "controversial" and will invite heated arguments. Especially when the same closed thread is cleverly reworded so that the closed thread can resume under a different thread title. This is what is unacceptable.

One more thing I would like to point out is that our TOS covers the vast majority of member expectations, when any member of the management team requests something (Like Steve did with thread subjects), that request is not something for you to decide on whether to follow or not. It's no different then when (for example) your mother asks you to put the casserole in the oven. It may not be a household rule written down on the family rule chart but she still expects you to do it.

I hope this has made things very clear for you, Tom.

Tom
