Is that the Townshend Rock 1? :D:D:D

That granite plinth would put that table north of $25K in today's market!

I can see it now: "Our new dino-max cartridge uses the beak of a roc as the stylus. Since it's still alive, your music glows with life as it springs from your speakers!"

Lee

"The highly polished tortoise shell bearing and thrust plate assure the lowest friction ever! The tortoise legs act as springs eliminating low frequency feed back."

This could only be WBF humor...;)

The Flintstones (Fred), I guess he did not have the unfortunate chance to see the daylight of CDs' gravitational spinning & centrifugal force? ... From 'flint sparks' reading.

* Sony/Philips was not yet invented.
Thickasabrick was the turntable's brand of choice at the time; all the carving rage.

Nice

Why? Been listening to CD lately?:D

No nothing at all for the last two weeks :( :( :( :(

Tomorrow though install the new RCA jacks on the back of the amps and then it's music time. Going to give a listen to some Tele ECC801S in the Doshi phono stage, install the new ZYX copper as well as spool up the Opus 3 Sampler tape.....

Oh right...I forgot about that. Have you forgiven your girlfriend yet? Hope everything goes well tomorrow and that you enjoy yourself!
