He said they are busy digitizing them. Then? I certainly hope the chain is not Climate controlled vault ,to open room to dumpster outside. After all they now have a "perfect copy" that does not need to be pampered in an expensive storage facility.

Though I suspect the days of tossing masters is over. What I think will happen is every time one wants to reissue in analog or digital formats, they'll get a digital copy. They just don't want to be giving these tapes out.
