I find classical music excites me more than any other musical genre. (Thank you Bonzo for introducing me to it.) I would rate the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto by Campoli/Argenta LSO my numero uno in excitement. I love looking into new find on classical pieces. And would really appreciate if you guys can introduce me to your most exciting classical piece to expand my horizon. If possible pls provide a link to youtube of that music. Thank you all very much.

This part raises my heart beat every time I listen to it.

I find exhilarating Mozart Jupiter Symphony 41 and Pictures at an Exhibition’s Great Gate of Kiev

My Tchaikovsky favorite is Kogan, which I have on the ERC pressing, which is also one of top two ERC pressings in quality imo and I also like the Szeryng on living stereo RCA. The original SAX Kogan goes for a few thousand

There are so many exhilarating moments. Everytime performer or orchestra get their act together it goes up. With Beethoven 9 it stays at ultimate levels for an hour and when over you feel like you have run a marathon because of all the continuous dancing

To really be exhilarating you have to feel like what the conductor and the orchestra do at the 45th minute in this video. This is how classical decorum should be rather than that silly snobbish behavior that also takes place at Wimbledon while watching sports or at Royal Albert Hall at a rock concert.

Of course if you listen to this only in isolation you won't feel that but I first discovered it accidentally, and felt the same at that moment. I often do this live though slightly mute myself so under the music noise only immediate neighboring seats are disturbed and f*** them. There is a regular old guy with his wife, every time he saw me next to him he would say not again. Once I took my sister to see a concert and we agreed she and his wife would sit between the two of us so that my moving does not disturb him..

Come on Ked. Don't give me variations of the piece. Give me different pieces I can go gung ho to.

There are too many. A lot of the quiet parts are exhilarating too when they get it right. That reminds me, you should get a good pressing and performance from G of Debussy la mer (very soft and quiet yet amazing when right).

ok. you want classical blood pumping excitement. you go to Italy and get an Italian Orchestra to play a Rossini Overture at warp 9.

Barber of Seville Overture, Fernando Prevatali conducting, track 1, side 2, Rossini Overtures, Westminster, WRP-14128

not the quietest pressing, but the music is delightful and a joy.....played with flair and gusto.

caution.....i t g e t s LOUD.......on the big rig this one soars.

I base my selections on "blood pumping, adrenaline rushing". But every great classical piece is tremendously exciting.

Reminds me of the time me and my buddies went to the Dorthy Chandler Pavilion in the early 80's to partake in some classical music. We showed up in our So Cal summer surf attire and it turned out to be a black tie affair. We did not give a flying fluck about it and went in and enjoyed the show and were better behaved than all the snobs uttering their little tiffs and staring down their pompous noses at us. That alone was more entertaining than the actual show.

Pull the stick out your arse already.

Freikugeln Polka Schnell, Op. 326 (Magic Bullets Fast Polka) from Ein Straussfest II on Telarc is the only truly blood pumping, adrenaline rushing, piece I've ever heard. Those nutty Germans, firing a couple dozen rifle blanks in an enclosed space will liven up a night of dancing alright. Youtube lacks anything with live fire even close to a quality worth posting.

Had similar luck with a number of pieces that came to mind. So I'm forced to settle for a decidedly lacking in impact version of Akira Ifukube's Obertura Festiva (Sa Bago Filipinas).
