Hi Frank, welcome to the forum!

As you can see from the equipment listed in my signature, I am a tube guy. Yet my very first post on WBF was about how a SS amp finally convinced me on a musical level, as I heard it in my own system:

(in the meantime my amps were upgraded with BorderPatrol external power supplies that made a huge difference, see my review in my signature.)

I have also come to admire the Pass amps in Peter A.'s system.

It's interesting to hear the journeys we audiophiles take over the years. I was a huge tube fan- ARC in fact- from the late 80s to mid 90s, until my first daughter was born. She was waaay to curious about those ARC Classic 60s glowing on the floor, so I moved to Levinson-to Classe to SS ARC to now Spectral. I still remember those glorious mono 60's soundstage! Looking forward to hearing more about your journey.
