Gary gets to try interesting things..... between Groove Note Records, Bernie Grundman Mastering Studio, and Audio Excellence Thailand, they get to listen to a 30ips Master tape, a track on a lacquer cut from that tape, and a track cut from a 256DSD Master of that tape!! Should be interesting if he passes or fails this test.

They are going to do the comparison between a lacquer track cut from 30ips Master and a track cut using a 256DSD Master. Two sessions a day, four days with fresh lacquers each day. They are going to pass out surveys and will tally the data after the show. We shall find out the results next week.

Hehe... As Gary posted:

"The Analogue Master vs DSD256 Master shootout was done double blind. Which means that Ying Tan, Wuti Larnroongroj, and Dr Krairerk Sintavanuruk did not know the answer while conducting the shootout so as not to influence the results.
The next morning, we opened the envelope from Bernie Grundman. Would we end up with egg in our face as we all concurred and might have been completely wrong!!
The final results would be posted on What Hi-Fi? Thailand soon....."

I want to know too!
