Las Vegas, January 10th to 13th, 2012. The Venetian, Suite #29-220

Seattle, WA – Genesis Advanced Technologies, manufacturer of high-end luxury loudspeaker and amplifier systems will be exhibiting for the tenth consecutive year in the High Performance Audio Showcase at CES in The Venetian, Suite 29-220.

“After ten years, we are still building on the range of products that we are offering to music lovers worldwide,” said Mr Gary Leonard Koh, President and CEO of Genesis Advanced Technologies. “The Genesis 7-series loudspeaker which won the Best of Innovations Design and Engineering award at CES2010 has been improved with new driver technology and will be demonstrated with the 10th Anniversary Monoblock 1,400W amplifiers.”

“We are also showing a prototype of a state-of-the-art phono-stage, partnering with UK turntable and tonearm manufacturer The Funk Firm,” continued Mr. Koh. “Despite the rising popularity and quality of high-resolution digital playback, vinyl still has an important place in the soul of music. For digital playback, we are showing the latest version of the Absolute Fidelity® Music Server together with the MSB Technology Signature DAC and Transport. The preamplifier is the superlative SMc Audio VRE-1C with remote control. Of course, everything will be wired up with Absolute Fidelity Cables and Interconnects.”

The Genesis 7.2f is a high-end audiophile loudspeaker with full-range musical performance in a small-footprint svelte and elegant enclosure. A built-in servo-controlled 8” subwoofer delivers bass down to 22Hz. An improved version of the famous Genesis ring-ribbon tweeter ensures perfect high frequencies to an extended 40kHz. A new solid-titanium midrange delivers even more speed, dynamics and lower distortion. At an MSRP of US$9,000, the G7.2f is a value-for-money and yet represents the best of high performance audiophile products.

The Genesis Anniversary Monoblocks deliver all the power needed for macro-dynamics with power-hungry loudspeakers, yet preserving the sweetness, delicacy, tonality and warmth of low-powered tube amplifiers. Retailing at $13,000, it is a four-box system featuring external power supplies and Absolute Fidelity power umbilicals.

“This year, we are continuing with our tradition of showing prototypes to our dealers and partners,” said Ms. Carolyn Koh, Vice President and COO of Genesis. “This is in line with the open door philosophy in the company, inviting feedback and criticism to make us better and stronger. CES is a great venue for this as it is an industry show, and our partners who are familiar with our products get a chance to have their say about future products.”

A full Genesis system comprising the Genesis 7.2f, the prototype Genesis Anniversary Monoblock Amplifier and the prototype Genesis phono stage will be demonstrated at the 2012 International CES, in the High Performance Audio Showcase in The Venetian, Suite #29-220, January 10th – 13th, Las Vegas, Nevada.

We will also be playing vinyl on The Funk Firm Saffire/FXR-II analog system, and digital through the MSBTech Signature system.

Good luck Gary!

Will you be showing the same set-up as in RMAF this time?

Thanks, Fernando.

It's a similar set-up, but I've improved the monoblock amplifiers quite a bit, and we are using a better DAC and music server. I've also improved my phono stage to the point where I'm willing to let my dealers/distributors listen to it and critique.

Thanks, guys! I look forward to seeing you if you're going to be in Vegas for CES.

The relationship between stimuli and perception is proportional to the logarithm – Weber-Fechner law. Human beings cannot perceive a change if it is small in relationship to what it already is. Take images – an increase in resolution of a low resolution picture is more easily perceived than the same increase to a higher resolution picture. Which means that as we continue to improve our products, the next improvement has to be much larger than the one before in order for it to be perceived as an improvement. Therein lies the challenge for the next ten years!

As Robert Browning says, "Grow old along with me. The best is yet to be."
