I will take pictures and send to you by email but will take a while, before that you can search by Google to see Shishido's amplifiers circuit first, they show 811,826,800,808,838,805 and also the biggest 833 too, I don't agree his psu and feed back using. anyway will have reference, you can use the parts in hand to replace for your own design

Can you tell me what is the more powerful amplifier that Nobu Shishido has designed?

Sorry, my mistake of the tube's number. I was sending the 838 circuit to Leif at the same time. 100W of SE amp must cost a lot even socket of 833 can't be found, plus big big transformers, higher voltage and in large current etc. but for 805 or 810 in his type will produce 50W plus, home build with copper version will be done by around 20K or under, 50W SE amp will not have any problem to most of market made speakers. that is the different between tube and transistor amp

Hi Ki,

Stella made what they called the ABR large reel adaptor for the SP series machines. Allows up to 12" reels. very simple operation with the larger reel tables driven from this smaller by neoprene belts. Only trouble is that the wind tension isn't that great.

Having a few done up with red anodizing!

CU at EXPONA. We can discuss my ML-5 electronics.

replaced the much hated FRAKOs
A80 recapped main psu 2014-04-25 20.58.35.jpg
bought some upgrades from Mastertapesoundlabs in Greece, and Mr. Todor Dimitrov has been really helpful and serviceminded
highly recommended
tomorrow I´ll install a kit for the stabilizer card/audio psu and the first gain stage still active on the repro cards, including some new improved A101 replacements and custom made film caps and precision resistors
looking fw to hear it all
best

hello again
installed the stabilizer card updates a couple of days ago and yesterday I thought I d listen to the psu upgrades before I did the reprocard itself
WHOW! it took me a split second to hear a major difference in harmonics, stability and ease of presentation.
especially the hf got even more air and extension with a more natural and organic soundstage
really looking fw to install the custom caps and the new A101 for the repro card first gainstage still in the chain
will be back
best

have been slightly busy this spring building a couple of Nelson Pass F5Turbo in my Tower of Power design
since everybody else built it by the book, I decided to build it with a choke input psu
thanks to a close friend of mine Gary Dews of Borderpatrol, we settled on a design that seemed promising
here it is....
notice the big Arcol HS150 power resistors...the reached 118C without external sinks so I had to add some
the Caddock bleeders are there to dampen the startup voltage spike, that now are below 40
the Toshibas are rated 25

Sweet Leif! Nice tapes!
And great looking room and speaks. I suspect the chandelier is not in view when seated in listening chair. Cool!
