Controlling 1160 through 1110?

I took delivery of this combo in April and just really love the way they bring music to life. But I would like to be able to switch the 1160 on and off through the 1110 controls on the remote. I can't find anything in the handbooks to help with this: not the end of the world, but it would add a little convenience. Has anybody found a way to do this? Many thanks.

Thanks for suggestion - I did so in May but seem to have caught them by surprise in terms of their software updates for 1110!

I am sure I saw some reference on this site to a member being able to control 1160 on/off from the 1110 but for the life of me I can't find it now. Maybe that member will recognise themselves now.

Cheers and thanks for interest.

By now you probably got it figured out, but if not, you need to connect the two units with an ethernet cable on the ethernet Jacks in the back, and then connect your router to the 2nd ethernet jack on the 1110. After that the 1160 will turn on and off when you shut the 1110, and also you can access all controls of your preamp from any browser (PC, phone, tablet etc.) that's connected to the same home network by putting in their local IP address.

That's brilliant and very clear - many thanks for saving my aging back muscles!
