Cables, how short is too short ?

Two minor observations - asymmetrical speaker cable pairs are not such a big deal as people may imagine and the cost savings of shorter cables could be less than anticipated due to the fixed costs of terminations (both plugs and labour).

Mark, what about asymmetrical interconnects between the amp and pre-amp?
