IME it has nothing to do with Lamm but with personal choices and experience. Also IME adudiophile & non- audiophile wires and specially power cords don’t change character with system. Their signature and SQ remains the same in all systems and this is something I’ve paid a lot of attention to over 3 decades.
Ok, we disagree on it.
I’ve been recommending CC power cords since 2001, there are many more happy CC users than the few who report here and 99.9% don’t use Lamm electronics. I’ve successfully installed them in a variety of systems myself replacing all kinds of audiophile power cords. More than even personal preference it all depended on how far the audiophile HiFi rabbit hole one was.

Again your personal opinion that I respect, although I would say that according to your numbers either Lamm users are a very small number or you changed an average of 50 power cords per day during the last 20 years! :)

Could it be that the Lamm users you mention had a personal encounter with me? Or maybe Lamm is among the most if not the most natural, high resolution transparent electronics! :)

david

Yes, I only know about a very small number of Lamm users, my statistics on them is surely very poor. A pity that many people love to talk about them and so few really want to own and cherish them ... :(

BTW, David, if going the DIY speaker what would be your advice for the ML3 in a large space (6mx9m) ?

(...) until I heard the NOS CC.
There are more than on hundred of CC power cables.

Can you tell us what are exactly the "NOS CC" you are referring? What are the codes printed in the cables?

I could but they are no longer being produced. I’m surprised you didn’t ask David for some for your ML3 and LL1.

I gave that information to an electrical engineering friend of mine who tried to get some from the current US distributor for Ching Cheng. The distributor said the wires are the same. I compared photos. They were different length and they have different molded plastic connectors. This will make them sound different.

It was clear you cannot get these anymore. I’ve tried to buy some from two members who tried David’s and didn’t like them, and they won’t sell them to me. I wouldn’t sell them either.

Peter, what is the point that they are no longer produced? Do you want to share this factual information with us or not?

And yes, I own a lot of CC's that David sold me. I have often referred to it in my posts.

Did you really compare these current CC or are these just guesses? Did you try top quality industrial or hospital cables from known US manufacturers?

Members tried them and did not like???   BTW, I also keep mine hoping I will find someone looking desperately for them who will trade them with Nordost Odin Gold - 3 NOG for each CC!

Fransisco, if you got yours from David then we have the same cables and you can just look up the number yourself.

I did not directly compare the new old stock eight footers to the new production 6 foot cables. But various people tell me that different cc cables sound different and I believe them. I have not tried hospital or industrial cables by US manufacturers. But I do use industrial in wall wires and industrial outlets.

I will buy your cc power cords if they are the exact ones that David sold you. I will pay you a 25% premium over the price you paid. No one will trade Odin gold for your cc. Unfortunately I cannot afford to buy your ML3 amplifiers from you.

To answer the question of this thread, Yes, I do use cable to tune the sound of my system. We are in a sound "reproduction" hobby. Reproduction requires man made devices including cable. My goal is to to have the most believable reproduced sound. I choose devices that put together and hopefully get me there. Freebie CC power cords work well with my electronics. They get me closer to my goal than other expensive PCs I had. Maybe there are PC out there that does the job better than CC for my system but I have not found. Maybe CC don't work so well in other systems...I don't know and don't care. They only work with Lamm or not I cant say because I never heard them in other systems. But I know that I connect them to my Cessaro subs amps, the bass is more impactful much better nuances than when Siltech Tripple Crown were used. If I want significantly better bass I know for sure it is not going to come from searching for new power cords. Before Lamm I used CC with my Ayon amps too. They work well enough they stay in my system. The component that I found least influenced by PC is my EMT phono. I don't know why I used different PCs with it but yielding insignificant difference...which is great...great money saving. I have also tried many expensive and inexpensive speaker cables and interconnects. Ddk introduced me to inexpensive ones but I am still using expensive Kuro speaker and interconnect cables. As @bacelio said " If it works, go with it." And if it is cheap too, that is a hallelujah :).

It looks you should be in politics, always have a reason to avoid answering direct questions. Next time, simply say no. BTW, do you know what it means "I asked first"? From now on we both should refer to the "NOS CC" as "those whose codes numbers should not be shared" and keep the mystery.

Ok, no direct experience.

I was joking with you - but I will even accept Valhalla!
Please note that I only addressed the CCs as you were clearly separating a mysterious type from the global CC.

Looks like Tim and Peter are under NDA's on what cables they use :p

Can you give the CC model numbers of your cables?

Shane. I am a very sloppy audiophile. I didn't even know CC has different models or model number til now. I thought they are all the same. So I never asked David. To be honest if David charged me $1,000 per CC I would not pay him but just steal from him. The CCs I have look embarassingly cheap. The head of the plug is made of transparent rubber that turned yellow after aging. The rubber became sticky from heat in Thailand too. The sound is lame. No wow whatsoever. If nothing stand out like this, I don't think different model would sound so different. I never bother looking if there were a model number on the cord.

I think his request was for you to get up, walk over, look at the number and type it

Terminated with audiophile IEC socket - $2500 each :p
I cant see a dealer / magazine make a living(margin) on stock $ 1,45 powercords .
To keep the " high end industry " alive and running these horrible cheap products should be banned altogether off course :p

That’s pretty funny. Of course Anyone can respond to any post, but Brian freaked yesterday when I responded to a question that Fransisco asked Tim. Now Brian broke his own rules and answered a question that Micro asked me and not him. Rules for thee but not me is spreading even here to the audio forums.

Now we will all be waiting to see what Francisco will actually do, if anything, with the model number Bazelio posted. Or was he just yanking my cord?
