What are you currently listening to (Classical)?

The Piano Quintet. As predicted, Fellner is not quite as incisive as Pollini, but it's a fine performance nonetheless.

Just a simple remark John; the guy @ top right has some Tarantino in his profile.
The girl; I like her expression.

I just received this SACD--

and compared it to the regular release--

While not a night and day difference, the SACD is a bit warmer and reveals a little more room sound.

Just finished first listening session of the ''Enghave Barok'' a top Scandinavian chamber ensemble with a fresh look at the Bach Sinfonia and Cantatas. Superbly played and recorded and at an introduction price of 10€, this download is highly recommended. http://www.soundliaison.com/studio-masters/253-bach-live-edition-1

"International elite on the West Side of Copenhagen. Enghave church has been programming concerts with the most prolific musicians specialised in Baroque music ….unsurpassable level of performance!"
Søren Schauser, music editor at the danish newspaper "Berlingske Tidende"

I began with Chamber Symphonies No.3 and 2 (the order presented on this new recording)--very well played and recorded. (24/96 download)

Hey Bachtoven, have you ever listened to the same disc more than once? :)

Jim (still-one ) mentioned before that he listens mostly to new music recordings; he rarely listens twice to the same music.
I think, from my memory; Jim would be able to tell like it exactly is.

i was amazed by the few snips on the website. I am a 16/44 guy and Zanden 4-box digital at that. I have emailed Sound Liaisons to ask if there is a way to download 16/44 from them...at least we get the music this way. I can burn it and play old-skool on the Transport.

Moving on to the Chamber Symphony No.1 and the Piano Quintet (arranged for piano, string orchestra, and percussion. Fantastic.
