Very interesting read.

A couple notable points-

-He says ultimately the quality of the recording trumps any sample rate/bit depth

-He says "pro DACs" can actually sound worse then "audiophile" DACs since
the pro models often stress feature set and cost control.

Of course, like all mastering engineers, he is very opinionated, but still informative.
