After 35 years, I was recently shopping for a new turntable to replace the Technics SL-QL1 I had in my main system (it went to my living room system). I was able to get a stupid good deal on the 1210GR from a company I do business with (accommodation pricing). It arrived the other day and I would guess if a guy could afford the difference in price to get the more solidly built Made in Japan model, vs the Made in Malaysia MK7, it would be worth considering. Regardless, I'm glad to see Technics back in the turntable business in a big way.
