Thanks for the advice!

Wondering if anyone has heard the Stenheim Alumine Two with a tube amplifier? This would be for a secondary small room and considering Audio Research 80S stereo amplifier.

Thank you!

I believe that Roy Gregory has driven the Alumine Two with Jadis JA30 monoblocks with some considerable degree of satisfaction. He mentions this is in his review of the Tom Evans Phoenix linestage.

A few years ago, I heard Stenheim with 20-30 watt Engstrom at Axpona. in 22, I think. And before the pandemic, Stenheim showed with Einstein OTL at Axpona.

I am severely allergic to box speakers due to their analytical and hifi colored presentation, but guys like Morricab have always insisted to reconsider by listening with SETs. He definitely knows what he is talking about!

Although these rooms were ignored by most "audio journalists", who rush to cover wilson, magico, or stenheim with vtl (The Analytical Sound reporter was in the room with me), both the Einstein and Engstrom with Stenheim were sublime.

So your arc amp should do just fine with Stenheim, but I would heed Morricab's advice and listen with SET, if you have any desire to explore. Otherwise, enjoy!

Maybe @shakti could help here?
He has the Two at home, myself have listend to them with a Accustic Art AMP 4 and was deeply impressed by These „little“ speakers

atb, Tom
