I'm putting together a home theater, and the salesperson I spoke with recommended the following system. They sounded very nice, but I'm rather a noice to speakers. Do you have any suggestions on if there any better alternatives I should consider instead? Many thanks!

Speakers
2x Sonus Faber Sonetto VIII, Tower, Walnut
1x Sonus Faber Sonetto CII, Center, Walnut
4x Sonus Faber Sonetto On-wall Speaker, Matte White
2x B&W DB4S 10’’ Subwoofer, Glossy Black

Pre-Amp & Amp?
1x Rotel RSP-1576
1x Rotel RMB-1585
1x Rotel RB-1582

Be advised that some past Sonus Faber models are voiced on the "warm" side of the sonic equation.

And to respond to your question, there are numerous choices.

Hi XDO im not sure exactly what you are asking. Should you consider better speakers ? Of course. Should you consider better amplifiers? Of course. But at the end of the day you have to find a combination that provides the sound that U want ....

i have sonus faber (old style - warm) speakers in my HT ... pic below and i i think they are great. I think your b&W sub might be a bit light weight. Im also not a huge fan of rotel electronics - but all this needs to fit in ur budget and sound good to u

here is a pic of mine for reference

I think warm would be good for HT. A lot of TV stuff is a bit lean and steals some magic.

I started with B&W and Rotel for my HT and replaced the Rotel with Mcintosh after some time which was a real improvement in dynamics. Movies came to life a bit more. Consider a McIntosh MC207 7x200 watts.
