My order is with my dealer and UK stock is expected from Pro-Ject late September.

I will post my user experience when battle commences with my warped records!

Steve

Reading around this subject, there's only marginal/zero SQ improvements to be had from flattening moderate bowing, only proper warps benefit.
I've got maybe a max of a dozen badly warped LPs, thus I can't justify going to the expense of the Flatten It (or Orb).
I'll stick with the Vinyl Flat or Record Pi.
Good luck w your purchase.

Any reason you went for the Project over the Orb? Despite the Orb needing a 110V to 230V traffo, it's 12kg press over Project 8kg, which sounds significant.

Not keen on using step-down transformers to power imported products not intended for the UK market.

The Pro-Ject Flatten-It looks like a solidly built, well thought out machine which has been favourably reviewed and there is a specific UK model. My dealer, with whom I have an excellent relationship, has offered a healthy discount and there is a trouble-free return path in the event of a defect.

All good reasons.

Just being sociable!

I am near Winchester. I wondered where you were?
Hah, my apologies - was trying to think how location within UK might affect power of Orb! I’m near Bristol, so south west.
