Periphery and spindle clamps

The periphery clamp weighs 2.6 lb. and the spindle clamp weighs 1.7lb. It securely grabs the spindle. I've been using them on my Music Hall 9.1.

I'm curious if there's any one here who doesn't use them or believes they don't offer much improvement.
I only ask because some here have the very best there is, vis-à-vis TT's/tone arms/cartridges.

Ok, I get that it may sound like a dumb question, especially here. I’m asking because I saw a pic of a $21,000 phono cart in action and the owner used a spindle clamp but there was no periphery/ring clamp.

For that kind of cheese I figure the mfr. should have thrown one in for free, that is if they actually add anything.

I couldn’t make out the model of the TT but I’d guess it was a decent one.
