Thanks Bob. Those were good reads. Great to see Panasonic deliver on its promises at CES. At that time, I was worried that they had set up the Kuro to have less performance. Seems like that is not the case and the new sets finally match or even slightly exceed its performance. The only downer is a fan noise/buzzing that was reported in the comments.

I think it's fair now to say that we can upgrade our Kuros. ...Finally! ...Picture quality wise; black level, shadow detail, dynamic contrast, and color purity. ...And price (real value) too. ...And size (65" versus only 60"). ...Five inches more (plasmas) is huge!

And Kuros can't touch all the newest and coolest features; 3D, movie streaming, smart applications, menu controls and THX mode adjustments, 4K (next), voice activation, Skype, USB connections, multiple HDMI version 2.0, etc., etc., etc.
