BREAKING NEWS - The MBL business has been acquired by MBL International GmbH. MBL International is owned by the Chinese luxury goods group Chow Tai Seng, ranked among the world’s top 100 luxury companies. Chow Tai Seng is active in the jewelry industry – a field, like ours, defined by passion, enthusiasm, and uncompromising quality. The company designs and develops high-end jewelry, manufactures it in-house, and sells it under its own brand in more than 4,700 retail stores across China.

I'm disappointed its a Chinese company, but it appears to be a good result, at least in the short term. Glad to see the jobs and the brand saved.

As an owner of MBL X-tremes and 3 pair of MBL 9008A amps , my concern involves the fate of MBL N.A. which was not acquired by MBL International . I for one would like to know who will be responsible for dealer interface , customer relations , repairs , etc. For decades , the success of MBL's speakers and electronics has been the direct results of the engineering excellance of Jurgen Reyes but there is no indication of his future role , if any , at MBL International . Similarly , Jeremy Bryan has been the face of MBL in North America for almost two decades . Obviously , I am pleased that a dedicated audiophile with substantial financial resources will now own MBL but I'm not sure what that means for ( hopefully ) continuing U.S. operations . Import regulations are now onerous , expensive and complex and Chinese ownership may significantly add to these burdensome costs .

welcome to What's Best Forum.

congrats on a fantastic system. has to sound awesome. if you are comfortable, please post some pictures and listening perceptions. many here would enjoy reading about it.

i do appreciate your concerns about MBL and wish you the best result possible with that. you have made a huge commitment to the brand and deserve support commensurate with that.

best regards,

Mike
