thanks.

i don't ever comment on video sound, but tempting in this case. i was the first video for Chuck in this new project and the two wireless lapel mics were used. not the phone mic.

i'm sure in future video's he will get that part figured out.

I know others might disagree with me, but I never judge audio system quality and performance by video. for me, it's entertainment for the mass.

What I look in videos is the room, equipment, description of what the owner wanted to achive, and advices the owner contributes.

Ron? Al? Taking it there on the 4th post?

@bonzo75

I apologize but it seems I'm having some trouble with british humor, please elaborate at what exactly your accusing me?

Great room and equipment. Congratulations @Mike Lavigne

By the way, the terrible camerawork made me feel sicker than 20 years at sea ever did.
Agree to the camerawork.. High degree of seasickness here in Sweden right now.. LOL..!
But also agree to the awesome achievement to getting this room as where it is today. Congratulations @Mike Lavigne , you have done a fabulous journey to this level. I’m most impressed ;) !

Great to see this kind of Youtube channel get some traction, but even if it were professionally shot and played back on top notch video and audio, you would never understand the sense of scale and dynamics unless you visited Mike. It's quite an experience!

I hoped the video would be better too. Chuck contacted me, but I am no where near prepared to say I have a system that is tuned and ready to show off. And I don't want to publish all I do with my work. I did reach out to Chuck to have him show my friend Bobs room. Bob has really good bass. And Bob put a lot of work into his room. And his BACCH does a lot to integrate it all together. Even so, Bobs system is nothing like Mikes. Mikes setup is amazingly alive. I assume a lot is the equipment, but Mike has spoken many times about all the time he has invested into understanding the room and how the equipment is interacting in the space.

This is a very impressive room -- a "music home" perhaps - and I am sure the sound is more so!
Above all, the room seems to emit a positive vibe... Mike - you have spent many happy moments in this room (and will enjoy many, many morer!)

nothing you did.

Bonzo is simply trying to recruit Al and Ron to do 100 pointless posts about the usefulness or lack thereof of system phone video's for judging comparative system performance. most times it's a fire that only needs a spark to ignite. evidently no one is in the mood right now.

Congratulations Mike on such an extensive focus piece on your audio sanctuary, the system and you!

I wouldn't quit my day job to be a videographer here. I will say that Mike has built and tuned a wonderful room and system. I n my experience this is a very uncommon event. I get to see many systems but very rarely does one actually get to the heart of the music.
Mike has and for that alone I congratulate him on his focus and perseverance and his passion. One needs all of those to get it and get it done right.
Bravo!

I enjoyed the video, it takes us on an adventure. Its great to see the passion Mike has for this hobby.
