Current MSRP of the MC501 is 12k a pair. The rumors are that the replacements will cost even more, MC601 or MC651s not sure of the name. Hand made it the USA certainly cost more. Videos like this remind me of why I am willing to pay more. Without getting too political, one has to ask are you truly willing to pay more to have made in America? For me it's not so much as made in America but made somewhere besides China. I have decided that I am willing to pay more to have companies like Mcintosh thrive. Large part of Mcintosh business is exports. I like that.

Decades ago people said the same thing about Japan, n'est ce pas? I think there are some good things coming out of China, although they may be far and few in between for now.
