That's what I thought when I saw the trailer, a reboot. But at least the park has actually opened to public, with crowds watching a dino snap up a shark instead of dolphins eating fish. I guess Spielberg's name is the reason why I want to watch this.
Yes, it seems like the same story but now they've genetically modified a bigger, badder dinosaur? Like the shark movie with Samuel L Jackson about some kind of intelligent shark they created in a lab that decides to go after the scientists...Deep Blue Sea, i think its called.

Yeah. I saw that shark movie, twice. Once on DVD long time ago, and recently on BluRay. Provides lots of thrill on the late night Home Theatre room. And, these are the kind of movies that are good demo discs for HT showrooms, specially Jurassic 1. That thumping scene, glass of water vibrating, and Where's The Goat bit - classic.

And maybe this will spur a new 'ride' in Universal Studios. I lost my baseball cap while riding it, when the roller coaster train made a steep dive to evade the mouth of T-Rex who was supposed to snap all riders up. I was too busy holding my eyeglasses or I would have lost it too.
