Just a little space to put little known musical facts...such as -Clyde McPhatter's first solo recording was a duet with Ruth Brown.. Although they sang on many of the Drifters classic hits, lead singers[Clyde McPhatter- Ben E. King]were only in the group for [3years combined]..Jerry Butler sang many leads for The Impressions other than[For Your Precious Love]..Legend has it that there is a copy of The Miracles[Shop Around]with[Claudette Robinson]on lead.. The Beachboys classic[In My Room]was actually recorded in[Brian Wilson's]bedroom.. please feel free to add any little known facts you have!

The soul classic[Duke Of Earl]was recorded by the soul group[The Dukays]with Gene Chandler on lead- Nat King Cole's classic[Looking Back]was written by Brook Benton- after the success of two hit duets, Dinah Washington and Brook Benton were slated for an album but they didn't get along so it was scratched.

The background harmonies on the soul classic[He'll Be Back-The Players]were sung by[The Dells] who just happened to be in the studio...Motown almost dropped[Little Stevie Wonder ] after his first hit[Fingertips] but cooler heads prevailed and the rest is history.

The legend of Wilson Pickett and James Brown being enemies is not true, Pickett didn't like being compared to Brown, but they were in fact good friends.
