Hello all,

I am brand new to this forum and am anxious to learn some things that I need or may need to post at some point. I am not a master audiophile, however I have been involved with audio, vinyl, since the 70's.

I have a problem a d have had no luck at all in locating this particular piece. I have owned and used my Denon POA 440A mono amps since new. I have been using an Onkyo P304 preamp since new as well, and my system has been great.

However a few years ago I decided I wanted to try my hand at setting up a surround sound system. I purchased a Yamaha Rx-v1900 receiver and used it off and on for a few years. Recently I decided to go back to my vintage system, so I had my mono amps and Nakamichi deck serviced. I don't use cassettes any longer so I will list it soon.

After I got my amps back I had a surgery and was out of commission for a minute. Once I was up and running again I proceeded to setup my Denons, Onkyo, Klipsch, etc. I even upgraded my turntable and CD player. Once connected my system stopped producing any sound. After some troubleshooting it was determined that my Onkyo was 'Out of Commission' and that it also required a service. It has been a great control amp for many years but now I'm deciding whether to service and use it, or purchase something else.

I have decided on finding a nice Denon DAP 2500a preamp as it is perfectly matched for my amps. Thing is, I can't find one. I thought I had looked everywhere, but I know there is one out there somewhere. I will have it serviced as well but I just need to locate one first. Can anyone help me please?

I know it is a vintage piece, but they ha e been listed, and some are listed, but what I have found are mostly out of the country. If I can't locate one then I am looking at a Yamaha of the same era, or I'll just use the Onkyo after it is serviced. At this point my Yamaha RX-V1900 is my power while I hunt down a replacement.

My hope here is that someone on this forum may have access to a unit, or knowledge of where I might locate a nice DAP 2500. I would be super grateful if someone here might point me in the direction of this preamp so that I can get back to my vinyl. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Once that is settled then I can ask the members about other things audio and Denon. I appreciate your patience in my long and drawn out post, but I tend to give more info than might be required.

Thanks for your co sideration and I really look forward to someone contacting me soon with some great news of a find. Thank you all again and I wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas. Be safe.

Cheers,

Huch
