How can you tell if one diffusion product is better or worse than another product?

Should one look at certain measurements across the frequency spectrum?

Are there rules of thumb, such as surface area covered? Depth of grooves in the product? Variations in the grooves?

Are all materials the same, such as foam, wood, polyestyrene? How does the choice of materials impact quality vs. geometry of the product?

Look at their measurements. That's why I like Vicoustic products. For diffusion, I like broad band. Some of the diffusors I see on the market would only work on just an octave.

Thanks, Bruce. Which Vicoustic product do you like? They have several and I'm confused by their product line.

Is the product that mimics RPG the best one they got?

I use the Multifusor Wood 64 panels. I just think the styrofoam panels look cheap.
