Good morning everyone. Does anyone know this store located at 3110 Beach Blvd. Jacksonville, FL 32207? I need to make an online purchase and would like to know if it actually exists so I don't get ripped off. Thanks in advance for your reply.

In fact, looking at Google Maps, the shop appears to exist. Or at least there's a sign. The shop appears to have been in business since 1969, but the prices are truly rock-bottom, which makes me a little suspicious.

Yes, this store does exist on Beach Blvd. I live approx 10 miles from House of Stereo. And it has existed since at least 2007 when I moved to Florida. Although it has been several years since I have been there, the photo of the store you show is different from the location that I had visited initially. You may want to search for customer experiences with House of Stereo.

Based on the many YouTube videos they've posted it appears that they do have a presence in the high-end audio space and offer many very-well respected brands of loudspeakers, amplification, etc. Apparently they just moved into their new space approx. 11 months ago and inside they look like a very nice brick and mortar store. I have never dealt with them, but the knowledge level of the owner Joe Parvey lends credence that they are a real, ongoing retail operation and not a fly-by-night scammer. Stenheim, Audio Group Denmark, Electrocompaniet, Focal, Viva Audio all list them as authorized dealers.

Call and speak to the owner, Joe Parvey. The photo you are posting does not resemble the actual store, nor the older one when Bill owned the place. They are most definitely a real store with a sizable business.

This is absolutly a legitimate business and a picture of their current location that is in the process of being updated. Was just there a few days ago picking up a new Hana Umami Red cartridge I had ordered. I have known Joe for many years.

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to jump in and let you know that we are, in fact, a real store. When time allows (not often enough, sadly), I try to be part of the conversation here. I’ll admit the storefront in the photo doesn’t exactly scream “high-end audio,” but that’s only temporary - we’re waiting on permits so we can finish the façade, back-boarding, and new signage.

To the local folks who spoke up, thank you for the kind words and continued support. For those who remember the shop but don’t know me, I took over from Bill about seven years ago when he retired. It was a labor of love - we couldn’t imagine letting the store disappear. Since then, we’ve been working to bring in gear you won’t easily find anywhere else in the region.

I’d love to extend an open invitation: stop by, meet Jasmin and me, and check out the new shop. The inside already looks worlds better, and hearing music here is the real proof of what we do. To those of you who don't live in the area, the website is only a part of what we do - to me, the crown jewel of this whole thing is the shop. I am very proud of what we have built, and if you are ever in Florida, we'd love to have you stop in.

As for pricing, we follow industry MAP/MSRP standards, but we also offer trade-ins and trade-ups whenever we can. If you ever see something off, it’s usually an honest mistake, and we fix it quickly once we know.

In other languages, you have to use a turn of phrase to achieve the same result. If you notice, the languages with the most vocabulary are Greek and then German. And it is precisely from these countries and these peoples that we have inherited the most significant evolution in society and thought, and that is why we are what we are today. Even today, our view of life is influenced by the great classical thinkers, and even today, our way of interpreting and describing reality is based on Aristotelian logic. Just as from the early Middle Ages onward, philosophy and, as far as our Forum is concerned, music have been a Central European affair. They are the ones who have left us an infinite chromatic scale of sounds and melodies. Everything else, however innovative, is just a combination of already known music and Afro-Asian tribal rhythms. For this reason, it is difficult to find an Italian with a medium-low level of education who does not know how to bend the language and semantics to his will.

I deeply admire and love Italian culture. Great people, great beauty, great food, and great volume in the clubs.

I had the privilege of living in Milan for a few months on a consulting project. Lots of work but great fun.

I will say this…I feel that the Italians have figured out how to live better than most.

Some years ago I watched a TV series featuring four families whose breadwinners worked for well known auto manufacturers in four European countries - the UK, Germany, France, and Italy. At the conclusion of the series the commentator, who had spent considerable time with each family, summed up his experiences. Of the Italian family he observed that although their economic situation was the most challenging, he thought they were easily the happiest.
