Homeland-New Showtime Thriller

I have always maintained that the content on cable TV is so much more superior to that of network TV. To wit I have mentioned here on many occasions about my three favorite shows
1. Boardwalk Empire
2. The Big C
3. Dexter

to name but a few

Now comes along an absolute thriller that at the end of each episode one will wonder whether it involves a true hero of war or rather that of an American POW who has "flipped" and is a brainwashed spy for the Muslim terrorists. This is a rel thriller and will rank in my top 5 TV shows of 2011

Centers on Marine Sergeant Nicholas Brody, who returns home eight years after going missing in Iraq, and Carrie Mathison, a driven (and possibly unstable) CIA officer who suspects he might be plotting an attack on America.

The cast is terrific with Damian Lewis playing the lead and strong supporting cast such as Claire Danes and Mandy Pantinkin

The first episode will definitely get you hooked

BTW, this show just received a Golden Globe nomination for best drama on TV but up against Boardwalk Empire (my favorite)

Great series. A bit slow at first, but at the 6th and 7th episodes, it really gets exciting.

Finished all the episodes. Thrilling indeed. Lots of drama too. Looking forward to the next season.

Season 2 begins in 2 months or so. Darn, I need to refresh the episodes, I forgot some of the details in season 1.
