I have my integrated Hegel H 590 now for about 5 months and it has performed flawless .
SQ is very detailed / neutral / controlled , perfect control over the speakers and i prefer the integrated Dac over my Meitner MA2 DAC as its sweeter without much digital hardness , using the very quit meitner transport
Of course tape done right beats it , but for the money its a very impressive design .
I also had the McIntosh MA9500 for a couple of weeks and i have to say solid state integrated amps have become very nice these days .
The Mc intosh is also a very nice integrated with DAC and has more of the " Class A sound " but also more $$$
No reason for me to upgrade unless i see FM acoustics for a " nice" price : a 268C with for example a 411 or 711 latest versions.
I listen more to music , just push 1 button / easy to use with remote.
It switches itself off automatically when music is not playing for a while , which is a good feature
Note : the " nice" price will of course be far more then im actually willing to spend on Hifi.
