I have recently brought in a Mikado cd player into the system and compared to my msb diamond dac iv.

Mikado blew past the msb stack to my and several others surprise..

Diablo and Mikado brought back cd playback..

But I have talk about the power cord as well. Audience au24se.

If you haven't tried it try it on your source.. It will be amazing.. I have had a lot cable experience in the past.. Opus mm2s nordost shunyata you name it... I have tried.. Nothing transformed my source like audience au24se..

In another system.. Gryphon panteon speakers antileon signature stereo kalliope dac and pandorra pre amp.. We changed the power cord of kalliope to audience au24se and oh my god.. The loudspeakers immediately transformed.. It opened up.. Until then the biggest downside of the panteon was the directional treble Or lack of treble when you stand up.. After the change of power cord only in the dac, clarity resolution and treble extended to overcome critics.. Of my 25,years in this hobby I never experienced anything like this..

Does anyone know if gryphon upgrades the Mikado to Mikado signature?

Congratulations ! It just confirm what I told you on the another thread. Mikado is an awesome transport and Player. Until few time ago was possible make this upgrade. Your local dealer can help you on that, if you prefer, I can Verify with gryphon if is it possible, but just your local dealer can do it for you.

About the cables, yes, power cables make a Huge difference for all Gryphon Equipments, and the AC Power Outlets make a huge difference too. Furutech GTX Gold AC Power Outlet was far the best I have tried in a full Gryphon system. And make tests as you has made is very important to find the the best result in your system. If you are seeking for the most refined result you can think on the future for an upgrade from Antileon for Colosseum or Mephisto, they are very more neutral than Antileon what is the warmer Gryphon Power Amplifier in production.

For your Kalliope another good test should be with the Light Harmonic USB Cable. It was the most Refined USB Cable I has used with it and was far the better compared with another U$1.000,00 USB Cables, if you can try it remember it will need about 300hs of burn in.

All this Sources, Mikado and Kalliope can have the performance increased with resonance control. So, the Rack used, and the coupling or decoupling with the base make a lot of difference, On my tests, decloupling Mikado have the best results, I use Solid Tech Feed Of Silence and Disc of silence have great results too. And for Kalliope coupling that with the base was amazing, on this you can use the HRS Damping Plates or another addition mass. When you try this probably will have the same Oh effect what you has with this cables.

If you need any another help with this Just Let us know.

All the best !
