Hello,

A friend of mine has a crossover failure on its Genesis 6.1 loudspeakers.

The serial number is: 6-16 30 22.

Our engineer needs the crossover schematic to repair it.

Is there a place where I can find it ?

Thank you very much,

Hello Carolyn,

I have asked for the schematics using the contact form at Genesis United States, and the reply is "We do not send out our crossover schematics as they are our proprietary manufacturing secrets.".

I have also asked "bayer-soundwords.de", that is specialized in the Genesis service In Germany, but the answer is "Sorry no schematics available"...

So your "secrets" are obviously well secured, but for an old pair of loudspeakers like the 6.1, we will not spend a fortune to send them to Germany (or another country as the loudspeakers are in France) to get them repaired...

The problem does not come from the crossover itself, but from the bass amplifier (located on the crossover board) that is dead.

Can you help ?
Thank you very much,

Hi there, that is correct, we do not send out schematics just to anyone that asks. If the speakers are not functioning as they should, please contact us and describe the problem so we can analyze and trouble-shoot to pinpoint the problem and help you fix it. Please use the same form on our website that will get you to the service department.

Well... these loudspeakers have a low value on the second hand market (< 2.000€) so we are not going to spend money to repair them...: they will go to the bin !
Thank you anyway for your reply,

Thank you anyway for your reply,
You are welcome. The Genesis VI are over 30 years old. So yes indeed. They are <$2,000 at this time.
