EMM Pre vs dac vc

Elliott,

What are your thoughts about using the EMM labs preamp versus using the digital volume control on the dac? Are there any advantages or disadvantages to either app approach? Which do you prefer?

The volume control implementation is the same in the two units. If the DV2i is the only source then connect it directly to the amp(s) and use its volume control. Otherwise, use the volume control on the PRE and enjoy the music.
