Vinnie Chase is getting a big-screen sequel. The long-rumored “Entourage” movie is a go!
Warner Bros. has given the greenlight to a film version of “Entourage,” based on the hit HBO series about the exploits of a hunky Hollywood movie star and his inner circle.
While it’s still in the early stages of development, it’s now officially happening. The film will be directed by series creator Doug Ellin, who also wrote the screenplay.
Negotiations are underway with the core cast, according to Deadline, as deals are being hammered out with the actors, including Adrian Grenier (the movie star), Kevin Connolly (the manager/best friend), Kevin Dillon (the brother), Jerry Ferrara (the sidekick) and Jeremy Piven (the ball-busting agent).
The HBO series, often billed as the male version of “Sex and the City,” ended in 2011 after eight seasons.
