I’m using a Lumin streamer, Ref 6 preamp, Ref 75SE amp, and Sonus Faber Elipsa speakers, and 2 Rel subs. What model of AR amplifier is it? We also need to know which speakers they are.

That’s very interesting. I was considering Tyr2 that I can get my hands on, but not able to test.dCS Vivaldi Apex + Odin 2 XLR+ AR 6SE + Odin 2 XLR+ 75 SE+ Odin 2 spk cab + SF Elipsa
Glad to know that Nordost is working well with. ARC and Sonus Faber. Do you recommend moving up the chain from Tyr2 or could it be considered (keeping all things relative) the law of diminishing returns. Obviously if cost was no object I’d buy Valhalla or Odin. On the other hand I don’t want to be disappointed. Currently using JPS labs super conductor 2, but I feel it’s a little soft. They’re a little older cable. Current speaker cable is Tyr1. ThanksI have successfully used Nordost with ARC and Sonus Faber Amator and Stradivari. However, I have no experience with the Elipsa.
Fabulous! Good to know.Sound wonderful with dCS Vivaldi Apex + Frey 2![]()

Well, I managed to bring home the Tyr2 IC's to try out. What an amazing cable. It creates a clarity and sound stage I was not experiencing before. Some music was sublime, others not so much. I turned my subs off to take them out of the equation. The issue I am noticing is at a certain mid-frequency range there is almost a glare or dulling that can be heard on some mid bass or female vocals. It's 90 percent good, but I don't think I can live with this. I'll see how I feel when I put the old warmer cables back in. Listened last night for many hours. It will depend a lot on the sound balance of your current streamer. The old Tyr cables were very neutral - in fact one of the Gary Koh preferred speaker cables before he developed his own brand. Tyr 2 is now more detailed. The old Valhalla had more slam and detail, but could sound bright in some systems. Unfortunately the very good Valhalla 2 is much more expensive, but could surely be a winner with your ARCs. As always, you should listen in your system. if possible a complete loom.
IMO the old top Shunyata's (Orion, Antares) sounded soft with Sonus Faber.
There must be a general consensus in the ARC owners circle that prefers a particular brand of cabling for their systems. I know this is a very subjective, or room dependant opinion, but some brand in general works best with ARC, and its a huge undertaking to attempt to discover through try and error the best cable for my Audio Research gear.Well, I managed to bring home the Tyr2 IC's to try out.
