Kevalin Audio has done a few of these modifications for H-3000 owners. A technician or anyone comfortable with fine wire soldering can do this. There is no need for downtime or to take on the risk or expense of shipping.
“The new, in-house manufactured Allnic MC step-up transformers feature pure silver wire windings on Allnic’s famous permalloy transformer cores. The silver windings provide increased resolution and dynamics, soundstage three-dimensionality and instrument and voice “substance” and “body”. They are truly a “step-up” (apologies) from the standard copper-wound SUTs and will make any Allnic phono-stage preamp provide even more lifelike sound than that for which they have been universally praised by reviewers and users.”
These are the SUT used in the H-10,000 OTL/OCL “Signature” and the H-8,000 DHT units and optional in the H-7000 models.
