Aries Cerat Symphonia Review

I have a couple of questions about the Symphonias. What is the current range of prices for them? I know it must vary depending on finishes chosen, and what is an LE?
Thanks in advance for answers to these questions. I believe I could actually buy them if I chose to considerably diminish my retirement savings. That is something I might choose to do. I believe there is not much point in being mentally ill if one doesn't do something crazy as hell at least every now and then.
You got told, If You Have To Ask!!!!!!!

I am curious how much of the magic is the crossover. I know a couple people with horns and they spend years fiddling with the crossover to get them where they want. And I think they always look at them and wonder, what if??????

How big is the leap between Symphonia and Aurora? In case I build a second system. :)

They are simply different. Aurora is half active and Symphonia is fully passive. Also Symphonia bass is horn loaded and Aurora is quasi open baffle. The compression mid in Aurora is a more expensive unit I believe but the tweeter is either the same or nearly so.

Sonically, I was always more fond of Symphonia, although both sound amazing.

Most interesting comments re Symphonia vs. Aurora impressions. Has anyone who's heard the Symphonia also had a chance to listen to Avantgarde's Trio G3 or the new Mezzo G3? How would you characterize the Avantgarde sound in comparison? I think Mezzo's price is similar; is it competitive with Symphonia?

This is what I wrote in Czech forum

I can't help it—after yesterday, when I got to taste the new additions from Aries Cerat, the Symphonia, I'm still full of impressions. I can't get out of my head how these beauties presented themselves to me. It's crazy—completely different technology compared to Clarisys, using the same hardware, and yet such an enormous difference in sound.

No, I'm not surprised—it was to be expected—but the richness of those beautiful tones, all harmoniously connected into one cohesive whole... it really didn’t leave me indifferent. I almost regret not making the effort to carry them up to the first floor in Vraclav, into my hall where I spend most of my time. Now, it's a true celebration for me to head out, enjoy myself, and spend beautiful moments with music on a dream system I never even dreamed of. Only now do I truly understand what Aries Cerat is all about! You have to experience it in its full complexity and complete beauty. Only then will you hear how uniquely Aries Cerat presents music.

Stavros is the king of kings. He doesn’t care that people in the Czech Republic don’t know his brand—his passion is production and constant refinement. Music is his passion, and what Stavros creates is exceptional. Absolutely uncompromising. I am Czech and I am now spreading words out, it is my duty to let people know about Aries Cerat in this region from now on.

What makes the sound of Symphonia in symbiosis with its siblings so special? I could wax poetic and dive into emotional declarations, but instead, I invite you to come and listen for yourselves—then you'll hear exactly what I’m talking about. Some of you may have already gotten a glimpse during the Prague show. It’s a different sound, a different dimension. Still, I understand that everyone perceives things differently and some people seek out specific characteristics they prefer—and that’s perfectly fine. That’s what this is all about.

These are two entirely different categories, both top-tier. One gives you an ultra-modern sound, completely free of any enclosure coloration, with all the sonic advantages like speed, deep bass, immense soundstage, clarity, transparency, and resolution. The other one, though, completely enchants you with music, where you’re not thinking about anything—you’re just immersed in the beautiful harmonies washing over you. Simply, a symphony.

Let’s wrap this up on a lighter note. If I were to go full Březina-style, I’d compare Clarisys to a stunning model with perfectly styled hair and a made-up face, dressed in the latest fashion. And Symphonia? That would be a beautiful, strong Moravian girl, full of life, and when she smiles at you, your heart skips a beat. That’s how it is, my friends.

Sometimes I like to look at the model—she’s beautiful—but if I had to choose who to live with, I’d rather it be the Moravian girl who’ll cherish me and love me. But that’s a different story.

I’m truly grateful for everything that led me to this realization, and I don’t regret the sacrifices, blood, and sweat it took to get to this point.

"Music is the best." Frank Zappa

P.S. I'm already looking forward to the second session—it’s just amazing.
