'Argo' wins Critics' Choice Movie Awards for best film, director

How about this one. Saw the awards last night and as everyone was waiting to either hear Zero Dark Thirty or Lincoln as Best Film with either Bigelow or Spielberg winning Best Director. Much to everyone's surprise both Argo and Ben Affleck won those awards. This indeed was a magnificent film and shows Affleck as the great director that he is and gives him some retribution as the MPAA snubbed him as Best Director even though his film was nominated

Hello Steve

I am glad he won the award. I really enjoyed the movie. I saw Lincoln as well and enjoyed that also. Both were good films in their own right.

IMO, "Argo" is one of the two best films of the year, pending seeing "Zero Dark Thirty" on Saturday.

Argo is in my top 3 this year and is my wife's favorite

Argo is in my top 3 films this year along with Lincoln and Zero Dark Thirty which I just saw.

Dom not miss Silver Linings Playbook. It is the sleeper of the year. Only film to be nominated in all major categories
