If you don’t have the scratch for the California, maybe one of these instead? Tipo 184, an Alfa 158 replica using an mx5 / miata motor. At just 700kg, it should shift quite nicely but it’d be rude not to add a supercharger to better recreate those Fangio oversteer moments.

As an aside, the creator is presently working on a project with Jensen Button to revive the Radford brand.
