    Lampi GG 512dsd + 44k + 48k superclocks + RTR PCM + KR242 + grounding post + SGM server----

This makes me reconsider if I should opt for the dsd512 and superclock options now as I don't have an appropriate source for such a task yet and don't have a definite plan how to get one. SGM outside my budget and diy pc not an option for me. To try out dsd I could always use the dsd256 included...

    KR 242, Elrog 300, px4, px25, EML and KR 5u4g, and KR 274b

Those are the ones I have. I also had a short stint with a GG that had the Duelund. What can I say? I liked them both. I do not dare to give a reliable test report on what differences there were, soundwise. At that time I wasn`t really A/B ing them.

    KR 242, Elrog 300, px4, px25, EML and KR 5u4g, and KR 274b

Wow, thanks for your generous offer. My GG will go back to Poland this Saturday and it will come back with the 242 setting, even now my GG does have the 242 setting. It shouldn't be a question whether they work in the GG, but just how well they work. In other words, it'll probably be three...

    KR 242, Elrog 300, px4, px25, EML and KR 5u4g, and KR 274b

Would like to find a pair KR 242. I will eventually order from Kron, but maybe someone is sitting on a pair and not using them. Trades are possible too, px25 I.e.

    Lampi GG 512dsd + 44k + 48k superclocks + RTR PCM + KR242 + grounding post + SGM server----

Hi Norman, you are saying that the separate dsd512 engine will sound superior to the r2r/dsd256 standard combo even when only using dsd up to 128? Have you A/B ed this yourself already?

Yes, but I don't know when or if I ever get a powerful enough computer to render dsd512.

Thanks Mike, superclocks are just for the usb input, as I just learned. Can you show a pic of Lukasz grounding solution? Cheers Chris

    Lampi GG 512dsd + 44k + 48k superclocks + RTR PCM + KR242 + grounding post + SGM server----

I'll be sending my GG back to Poland in a couple of days to get rid of the distortions I've been having since the beginning and which could not be fixed in a first attempt at Lampi's. Since my GG needs to go back anyway, I would like to upgrade all that is worth upgrading. Change to R2R...

    KR 242, Elrog 300, px4, px25, EML and KR 5u4g, and KR 274b

I had a friend over last night who I trust 100% when it comes to critical listening. Sorry if I remain a bit vague here. What I wanted to say is that he agreed with me that the anni KR 5u4g is more transparent, less veiled and dark and thus the better tube in my system than the Takatsuki. Not...

    KR 242, Elrog 300, px4, px25, EML and KR 5u4g, and KR 274b

This sizzling noise the KR 5u4g makes is starting to annoy me. Grrrrr... Anyone else experiences this? Luckily the Tak is quiet.

    KR 242, Elrog 300, px4, px25, EML and KR 5u4g, and KR 274b

Noooooooo, read my post again. YMMV...-:)) The KR does make some crankling hissing sound though which is audible from a foot or two away or so. Nothing dramatic and no obvious influence on the sonic results, just wanted to mention it. The Taka is dead silent.

    KR 242, Elrog 300, px4, px25, EML and KR 5u4g, and KR 274b

Interesting findings today. I have been using the KR 5u4G together with the px4 for the last two weeks and I liked this pair so much that I didn't think about changing anything. Today though I had some time and put back the Tak recti. My favorite recti so far. Well, not so much anymore. Somehow...

I have been using the px4 for a week or so now. I just like it a lot. Together with the Kr 5u4G Lampi recti just perfect for my ears. I did not even feel the need yet to put back the Taka recti, it just sounds so good. Will try my favorite recti nonetheless soon. But again, I think the...

    Lampizator DSD DAC

The Kron can deep bass too, but the Tak is a bit deeper and, more importantly, more controlled and cleaner, no mushiness there. Dynamic is good with both, but again the Tak does this bit extra that makes it outstanding. It just feels right, and as Al says, kind of hard to describe really...

    Lampizator DSD DAC

I am using the Kron px25 and have the latest pcm engine with the mundorf caps. In my book the difference to any other recti is big. More air, better structure, better localisation etc. it's really easily discernible...within a few seconds you know this is how it got to be....there is no looking...

    Lampizator DSD DAC

So here is my final verdict on the Takatsuki 274b. I expected a close race with the Kron as I really like that one, but it was not even close. The Taka is the one to get! Nothing I know comes close. It would have been nice if a cheaper recti could stand its ground, but that's just not the...

I don't have a 242. Come by and we'll test them. But I will try the Kron recti vs the Taka tonight. Now that I have my mundorf GG back, I am confident to say that I like it more than the jupiter/duelund GG that I had for a week or so.... It is more transparent, dynamic and forward driving in...

How high is your output volume at this time of the day?;):p On another note. I got my GG back. OMG did I miss it. What a revelation to put this machine back in the system. Just heaven from the first tone. The Lampi Kron 5U4G with the px25....awesome!

    Analog vs Lampizator

I am afraid I' m of not much help. I did not compare the Jupiter caps with duelund bypass to the mundorf for I haven't got the mundorf GG back yet, but will have sold the other dac before that happens. I am not worried at all that the mundorf will sound worse, on the contrary. I did not...

    Analog vs Lampizator

No need to be.... I just happen to own two at the moment, one is with Duelund caps, the other one with Mundorf. Both have the latest pcm engine on board and differ only in details (frontplate is silver or black), one has an additional AES input, one is 230V, the other one is switchable. I...

    Analog vs Lampizator

This is what confuses me. Not directly from Lukasz yet but through one of his staff/ associates/distributor (I'm not sure of his official title) who spoke with Lukasz about this it was conveyed to me that my GG (330mV) was NOT suitable for 242 tubes, only the balanced GGs were. I don't know if...

    Analog vs Lampizator

I am still not clear on this 242 tweaking. Does it mean it will only play 242 tubes from there on and other tubes will not work anymore? I have two GG in Poland at the moment, but I am not sure if this 242 thing should be an option. Lukasz does not seem convinced for the GG. Overall I am...
