Well for sure this is not an area very obvious for many, but offers a nice potential. There is a video and audio files to download at the end of page https://www.synergisticresearch.com/fuses/master-fuse/ for comparison (and this is just between these two). Many dealers lend you some or you have...
Oh exciting to hear - thank you for the pointer!
@Network Acoustics Based on the options provided at https://www.synergisticresearch.com/isolation/accessories/pink-fuse/ what version would be most suitable for the Tempus?
Speaker lifters provide a benefit, as does your device used especially for the main wall-plug, most of the time feeding a power conditioner etc.
So happy experimenting and glad to see you are enjoying the Tempus.
A very important question is at what stage a fuse provides the best overall impact.
meaning does a better fuse in an amp have the same impact as used in a streamer or switch. What are your experiences?
Well @Superdad / SJ who is developing switches as well as fiber media converters can tell you more about the limits of it and unfortunately a few problems/areas are not touched by it.
Well the iFi iPower Elite is a really already a very good power supply! I compared it to a few other power supplies and for the usage of the router it was the best so far (along with an Audioquest Monsoon power cord).
But I know how committed Network Acoustics is (and there products made a...
That is exciting news @Network Acoustics !! I am also highly interested as I know what major improvements the Muon Pro streaming system and Tempus brought to my system. Currently using a FritzBox router with an iFi iPower Elite but I know this segment in the network environment is essential as...
I also used the ER with max upgraded Farad Super3 along with a Sonore Optical Module Deluxe V2 (also with max. upgraded Super3) - and all with Audioquest Monsoon power cord on a Audioquest Niagara 5000. Still was no comparison to the Tempus.
Also tried the Tempus via the SFP and the OM D V2...
That’s what I also appreciate very much about the Tempus that you get a carefree/all incl. package. No worries about power supply or DC cable (both is already reference level and tailored), you get 1GB/s, 100mb/s slots as well as SFPs.
To go up another notch there is also the Muon Pro streaming...
I was one of the first to receive the Etherregen and it is a fantastic device (used it with all upgrades like SR Purple fuse and Furutech inlet as well as a Audioquest Monsoon power cord). Though comparing it to the Tempus showcased there is still a lot which can improve. Sure it’s a different...
When developing the Tempus NA has been evaluating all current top switches. And they put years of research in it. I can absolutely agree on the Hifi-advice review that the power supply not only plays a vital role, rather it’s even best when it’s completely individually developed for the sole...
Great decision! You will definitely hear an improvement. I also had the PhoenixNet and a number of other switches, but the Tempus stood out in making the music more natural, flowing, analog like - yet providing such a level of detail and an insight into music.
Well you should try a more recent generation. The ENO was the very first approach, in the meantime there is ENO2 which is much advanced or at a different level the Muon Pro.
Maybe one or your friends can share one of those for testing.
Yes I use both, Tempus and Muon Pro streaming system. As mentioned in the review every step, improvement is replicable - solely Tempus, adding Muon Pro filter and then also streaming system.
I have compared it to a number of switches and also fiber solutions but it provided the best overall...
Having tested various filters in a few different setups I can say the iFi LAN iSilencer is a great entry product into the segment of Ethernet filters. And it’s also great that more people can experience on their own with very little budget what impact an Ethernet filter will have on your setup...
There is a great review of the Tempus here: https://www.hifi-advice.com/blog/review/cables-reviews/reviews-digital-cable/network-acoustics-tempus/
I can just confirm these findings and I am highly satisfied with the switch.
A very good review has just been published here: https://www.hifi-advice.com/blog/review/cables-reviews/reviews-digital-cable/network-acoustics-tempus/
I absolutely agree to the findings and comparisons described there.
I am like others for about 20 years into digital audio. So have been able to explore the impact of various elements like power supply, network setup, noise filtering etc over the years.
And skepticism is justified in today’s industry as so many copy-cats are out there or just claiming something...
